1. Introduction

Listio ("the App") is developed and operated by Kadoco ("we", "us"). Listio is a shopping list and recipe discovery app with AI-powered features including voice input, automatic translation, and recipe suggestions. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

• When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and profile picture.

Shopping list data

• Items you add to your shopping lists (name, quantity, amount/unit).
• Checked/purchased status and timestamps.

Purchase history

• Items you mark as purchased are logged to provide smart suggestions for future shopping.

Saved recipes

• Recipes you save, including ingredients, instructions, and cooking time.

Voice input

• If you use the voice input feature, audio recordings are sent to OpenAI for transcription. Recordings are not stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Display and manage your shopping lists.
• Translate shopping items between English, Spanish, and Swedish.
• Suggest items based on your purchase history.
• Generate recipe suggestions and cooking instructions.
• Generate dish and cooking step images.
• Convert cooking instructions to speech for hands-free use.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on a server located in the EU (AWS, Stockholm region). Authentication tokens are stored on your device using encrypted storage. All communication between the App and our server uses HTTPS encryption.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In

Authentication is handled by Google's OAuth 2.0 service. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

OpenAI

Several AI features are powered by OpenAI's API:

• Voice transcription — audio is sent to OpenAI and converted to text.
• Item translation & organisation — item names are sent to OpenAI for translation and categorisation.
• Recipe generation — your search queries and preferences are sent to generate recipes.
• Image generation — dish and step descriptions are sent to generate images.
• Text-to-speech — cooking instructions are converted to audio.

No personal identifiers (name, email) are sent to OpenAI. OpenAI's API data usage policy applies: openai.com/policies/api-data-usage-policies.

6. Data We Do Not Collect

• Location data
• Contact lists
• Financial or payment information
• Photos from your camera or gallery

The App does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your shopping lists, purchase history, saved recipes, and account data are kept as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, visit listio.kadoco.se/delete-account or email us at the address below. Deletion requests are processed within 7 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Listio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the bottom of this page will be updated accordingly.
